The Town of Berthoud, Colorado, has released a request for qualifications (RFQ) for its broadband connectivity P3 project.

Under the plans, the town is looking to “harness private capital financing” to deliver a new open-access fiber network across the region.

The partner will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the new system, through a SPV to facilitate “a structured and effective collaboration” that will provide a state-of-the-art fiber-based broadband network.

Responses are due October 4, 2023. Questions can be submitted up until October 2. The tender can be found by clicking here.

Meanwhile, the County of El Dorado in California has released a request for information (RFI) on its broadband initiative P3 project. Responses are due September 25, 2023. The tender can be found by clicking here.
