The organisations will work together to focus on PPPs in “high potential sectors” such as digital, renewable energy, social, and urban mobility.
A memorandum of understanding will see the ADB support the Kyrgyz PPP Center by identifying, preparing, and implementing PPP projects.
“Mobilising private sector funds to develop PPPs in the Kyrgyz Republic will spur economic growth, create jobs, and enhance people’s quality of life,” said ADB country director for the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheng Wu.
In July this year, the City of Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan unveiled plans to launch a PPP project for the construction of pre-school institutions.
