The team led by Plenary and EllisDon has been chosen to deliver the eight new schools under the second bundle, beating off competition from two other teams - including the Fengate and Gilbane consortium that is delivering the first phase.
The PGC Education Collective consortium sees Plenary US hold 50% of the entity, with EllisDon and Phoenix Infrastructure and Investment holding 20% each, while 10% is reserved for community investors. MCN Build will be acting as lead contractor.
Under the agreement, the consortium will design, build, finance and maintain eight new schools across the county, with a service term of 28-30 years.
