The Government of Tanzania is continuing its drive towards PPPs, eyeing new guidelines to support development.

Earlier this year, President Samia Suluhu Hassan signed a new PPP bill into law, which will deliver a “new era” of development, according to the country’s PPP commissioner.

Off the back of the law, the government is looking to develop a suite of new guidelines covering areas such as general principles, unsolicited proposals, market soundings and local government guidelines.

The World Bank has released a call for advisors to help with the efforts. Responses are due October 16, 2023. The tender can be found by clicking here.
