Infra Ontario backs Lindsay

The board of Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has approved Michael Lindsay for another three-year term as president & chief executive of the organization.

Effective November 1, 2023, Lindsay will continue to lead IO with the full support of the board, after it “enthusiastically agreed” to extend his term at its September meeting.

“The Minister of Infrastructure and the board commend Michael for his strategic and operational leadership during his first term, and he has our full support to continue this leadership,” said chair of the board, David Lindsay. “Over the past three years, the organization has provided exemplary advice and support to the government regarding the renewal and expansion of Ontario’s public infrastructure.”

Over the course of his first term, Michael Lindsay led IO as it developed a range of new procurement models as part of its focus on ensuring appropriate risk transfer in increasingly complex projects - as well as dealing with the challenges caused by the Covid-29 pandemic.
