Attiko Metro has signed a deal for the Thessaloniki Metro network concession.
Under the deal, the THEMA consortium will take over the operation and maintenance of the new 9.6km line for 11 years, including responsibility for the rolling stock.
The Franco-Italian consortium is made up of EGIS and ATM.
"With the signing of the contract for the operation and maintenance of the Thessaloniki Metro, we enter the final stretch for the completion of one of the most important projects that have been carried out in our country for many years,” said Christos Staikouras, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport.
