Minister of Transport and Communications, Georgi Gvozdeikov, has revealed that over BGN126m (€64m) will be provided in grants to support intermodal operators as well as alternative fuel charging facilities, with an expectation that projects will be delivered under PPP.

“We are giving businesses greater opportunities to get involved through public-private partnerships in transport projects,” he told the Logistics Business Conference.

“We are currently developing the conditions for the application,” he added, stating that projects would become available at the beginning of next year.

In February this year, Bulgaria was the location of one of nine ‘hydrogen valley’ projects being taken forward by the European Union.
