Nina Albert, former commissioner of the Public Buildings Service at the US General Services Administration (GSA), has been appointed to the role, where she will support the DC government in the delivery of its economic strategy.
Albert has more than 20 years of experience in public real estate strategy, P3 negotiations, economic revitalization, and sustainable development.
During her time at the GSA, she managed the nationwide asset management, design, construction, leasing, building management, and disposal of approximately 370 million square feet of government-owned and leased space.
Prior to her time at the GSA, Albert served as vice president of real estate and parking at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, while earlier in her career she worked at Walmart, the then-District Department of Environment, the Office of Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, and Hammes Company.
