Plans on how to deliver new housing and a care home are still being deliberated by Wokingham Borough Council, Partnerships Bulletin understands.
The authority issued a call for early engagement in August, seeking private partners to provide feedback on the potential to develop a joint venture arrangement to deliver up to 130 residential properties alongside a 70-bed care home on a 4.4 hectare greenfield site.
It is understood that one-to-one meetings with suppliers as part of the soft market testing are still ongoing, with the council planning to complete these by the end of October 2023, before coming to a conclusion on how to move forward with the initiative by the end of the year.
The authority is considering whether to use a joint venture arrangement, or simply sell the land to the private sector.
