Czech highway PPP falters

he Czech Ministry of Transport has stalled its D35 highway PPP, after the consultancy tender closed without a result.

In January this year, the ministry opened a search for legal, financial and technical advisors to prepare the project, but the process has now been terminated after the authority did not submit a selection notice during the allotted window.

Under the plans, private partners were set to be sought to complete the unfinished highway section stretching between Opatovec and Mohelnice. The project was designed as a design, build, finance, operate and maintain concession.
