The Chilean General Directorate of Concessions has signed an agreement with a Big Four financial advisor to “significantly reinforce” its P3 programs.
KPMG will join the the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in advising the directorate.
Under the deal, the firm will help advise on best practices, bolster sustainability and social impact pursuits in projects and add general advice.
The directorate said that due to the expertise brought by the firm, the “contribution that the concessions agenda has towards Chile’s Long-Term Climate Strategy and compliance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals will be significantly reinforced”.
Earlier this week, the Chilean Ministry of Public Works presented a portfolio of 27 concession projects worth over $11bn at a meeting with Chinese companies and officials.
