Transportation disruptor Glydways has received significant backing from venture capitalist and P3 heavyweights, after signing another Californian project agreement.
The firm, which has made waves with its pod-like local transport system, has announced it closed a major Series B investment, garnering backers from ACS, Microsoft founder Bill Gates’s Gates Frontiers, Khosla Ventures and New Science Ventures.
The firm was recently selected by Contra Costa Transportation Authority and Tri Delta Transit to develop a system to serve parts of the San Francisco bay area.
Earlier this year, a Plenary-led consortium featuring Glydways was selected by the City of San José to deliver a microtransit solution for its airport connector, via a P3.
