Investment giant Macquarie Capital is joining the White House-led healthcare emissions reduction initiative.
Macquarie Capital has committed up to $300m in renewable energy project developments for hospitals and hospital systems that will reduce emissions.
The program looks to leverage grants & credits from the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to help the healthcare system, investors and developers to deliver savings.
John Pickhaver, Macquarie Capital’s head of infrastructure & energy capital, said firm “sees significant opportunity for projects in the safety-net healthcare space that can reduce energy costs and lower emissions while providing increased resiliency and attractive returns to investors”.
