Brazil’s National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) has selected a private partner for a P3 contract to deliver a 349km power transmission line in Minas Gerais State.
Cobra IS, a subsidiary of French contractor Vinci, has signed a $158m contract for the conception, construction and operation of the 500kV transmission line, as well as the extension of two existing substations in the state.
The award is the second for Cobra in Minas Gerais within the previous 12 months, following a DBFO P3 deal signed last October for six 500 kV transmission lines, covering a distance of 63km.
