Technical advisor Amey has appointed a new strategy director for its transport infrastructure business.
Danny Gilbert will take up the role, joining from Arriva, where he most recently served as its chief commercial officer.
Commenting on the appointment, the firm’s transportation infrastructure managing director, Peter Anderson said: “The UK Government has rightly set ambitious Net Zero targets, and we support all of our clients to advise, lead and deliver the sustainable solutions needed for future generations to prosper. Danny’s knowledge and relationships will enable us to use our engineering and operational expertise to help Amey and our clients meet these ambitions and transform the communities within which we deliver”.
Earlier this year, Amey appointed Lord Colin Moynihan as its new chairman as it looks to target the energy transition.
The firm was recently sold by Ferrovial to join a partnership between One Equity Partners funds and Buckthorn Partners.
