Ex-Tideway boss takes over HS2 JV

The joint venture team leading the UK’s High-Speed Rail civil works has appointed a new managing director.

Sally Cox will take over leading the venture, which will see a team of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction, and BAM Nuttall delivering the project between North Chilterns and South Warwickshire.

She joins from helping lead the development of Thames Tideway Tunnel, where she served as a project leader. Before that, she was managing director at Hochtief UK construction and worked at Laing O’Rourke and Leighton Contractors.

Kier’s chief executive officer Andrew Davies said that “Sally has a hugely impressive track record of delivering major infrastructure projects wherever she has gone, and that experience made her an ideal choice for this role.”

Cox will start her new role in December 2023
