The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has appointed a new division director of P3.
Previously serving as the agency’s director of engineering, Hiral Patel is picking up the reins on the P3 push, taking over from Joe Carpenter who left the role last month.
Patel will now lead efforts on one of the country’s most exciting P3 pipelines. The agency is currently in the midst of procuring the SR 400 project, which has two teams vying for the contract.
Beyond its multi-project highway pipeline, GDOT is also utilizing P3 to deploy technologies such as electric vehicle charging stations and broadband and is considering using P3 for transit-oriented developments (TOD).
