The Chilean Ministry of Public Works has received three bids from international players for its Orbital Sur de Santiago P3 project.
Acciona, Intervial, and Costanera will vie for the contract, with economic bids due at the end of this month.
Under the plans, a new 24km highway, with five links, will be developed in the Peñaflor, Calera de Tango, and San Bernardo regions of Santiago, forming part of a second metropolitan ring road in the capital.
The project will require an estimated $500m of investment, which will be recouped in an electronic toll concession running for up to 36 years.
A winner is expected to be selected in Q1 next year.
The second part of the ring road, the Orbital Norponiente project, is expected to be tendered in 2024.
