The Government of Bahamas has signed an agreement for an overhaul of the South Bimini International Airport.

A consortium of Plenary & Phoenix Infrastructure, also featuring Avports, will upgrade the terminal and airfield facilities at the airport to bolster capacity on international and domestic flights.

Public meetings on the future development are set to be held over the next couple of months.

“As world travel continues to rise beyond pandemic-era levels, now is the perfect time to deliver enhanced access for air carriers to this beautiful part of the world through an upgraded facility that this island deserves,” stated Jeremy Ebie, founder and chief executive of Phoenix Infrastructure.

The Bahamas has been in the process of using P3s to deliver sweeping upgrades to its air infrastructure, including tendering major bundles and solo international airport P3s.
