North Bristol NHS Trust has identified a site at Southmead Hospital which could be used for the development of residential accommodation, and is working with NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care to develop a solution that is “designed, funded, constructed and operated” by a developer.

The trust requires the development to remain off balance sheet and for the commercial model to be compliant with IFRIC-12, the accounting rule that covers service concession arrangements.

A market engagement briefing session will take place online on Tuesday 14 November 2023 and will be followed by a series of one-to-one briefing sessions.

Interested parties have until 24 November to provide responses to the trust’s engagement exercise. More details on the project, the engagement exercise and how to register for the briefing sessions can be found here.
