With support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the project aims to attract R$1bn ($200m) in private investment to build the new hospital complex.
The scheme is set to include the manufacture and acquisition of equipment to meet demand for medium and high complexity healthcare.
The IDB will provide technical, financial, environmental, and legal studies to ensure that the project meets the needs of the state.
“The government of Mato Grosso do Sul has had a successful performance with PPPs, in an innovative fashion that places the state as a reference in the country,” said the Governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel.
