The Government of Ukraine is eyeing PPPs to help bolster its damaged healthcare system.

Under the agreement, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will conduct a feasibility study to help develop a paediatric centre through a PPP.

The government previously launched a pre-feasibility study on the Odessa specialist children's rehabilitation centre as a PPP, adding that a group of Nordic investors had shown interest in delivering the project.

Since the start of the war with Russia, over 1,400 hospitals in Ukraine have been fully or partially destroyed, the IFC said.

The IFC is also working on potential toll road PPPs in Ukraine. To read more about the future role of PPPs in the rebuilding of Ukraine, click here.
