Updated to 31 March 2023, the dashboard provides information on 669 projects that were in operation, including charts highlighting annual unitary charges and when projects should enter into their handback phase as they head towards expiry.

According to the information, it is estimated that there were £143bn of unitary charge payments remaining from the 2022-23 fiscal year onwards.

The previous iteration of the dashboard - which ran up to 31 March 2022 and was published at the same time as the report into PFI contract behaviours, in July this year - captured 683 projects, with total future unitary charges expected to reach £151bn.

As a result, it appears that 14 PFI deals expired or were terminated between March 2022 and March 2023. In its 2022 update, the IPA said six contracts were due to expire in the 2022 calendar year.

The dashboard allows users to break down projects by looking at a portfolio view as well as a project view, and can be found here.
