Philippines launches highway & LRT projects

Advisors being sought to help prepare Manila metro PPP; tender launched on expressway PPP

The Government of Philippines has appointed the IFC to help develop a PPP project to expand Manila’s LRT Line 2 metro.

Under the plans, private partners will develop, rehabilitate, upgrade, expand and operate the system.

The IFC has now released a tender looking for legal and technical advisors to help prepare the project. Responses are due 11 December 2023. The tenders can be found here.

Meanwhile, the Philippines Department of Public Works and Highways has received an unsolicited proposal for a four-lane, 59km highway PPP from Rosario to San Juan.

The authority has now released a request for proposals for comparative proposals for the 34-year DBFOM concession.
