The UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is set to begin a search for consultants to assist in the development of heat network programmes.

Under the plans, a new £42m framework of consultants will be created to address issues such as model development, and provide technical and financial support.

Last week, a £200m Edinburgh DBFOM heat network selected Vattenfall as its preferred bidder.

The department has released a prior information notice (PIN) ahead of the search, which is set to commence on 4 December 2023. The PIN can be found by clicking here.
