The Colombian National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) has picked a winner for the Rafael Núñez de Cartagena International Airport redevelopment.

Colombian giant Termotecnica Coindustrial SAS has won the race for the project, beating off competition from two other teams; Estructura Plural Aeropuerto de Cartagena de Indias and Andino Inversiones Global.

Under the plans, a new 17,000sq m international terminal will be delivered, alongside the expansion and regeneration of the current terminal at the facilities.

“Hand-in-hand with the private sector, we are committed to improving service conditions to respond to the constant growth in passenger traffic while maintaining the level of service and the highest quality standards,” said Carolina Barbanti, ANI’s president.
