The Government of Togo has signed a concession for its Sokodé solar plant PPP.
A consortium of Meridiam & EDF will now deliver a 64MWp plant in the county’s interior, Togo’s second solar farm.
The project is expected to save more than 1.4m tonnes of CO2 through the concession’s 25-year span. It will be delivered under a design, build, finance, operate and maintain contract.
Thierry Déau, Meridiam’s chief executive, said the firm is “proud to contribute through this project to Togo's dual ambition of providing all its citizens with universal access to electricity and increasing its production of renewable energy”.
