UKIB appoints banking & investments MD

The UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) has appointed a new managing director in its banking and investments team.

Emily Sidhu, who joined the bank in November 2022 as a director, has been promoted to the role, where she will lead on the delivery of infrastructure transactions across debt, equity and guarantees, with a specific focus on carbon capture, use & storage (CCUS), hydrogen, waste and water.

“Emily’s experience and proven track record make her a valuable asset to the Banking and Investments leadership team, and we are pleased to have her expertise as we look to scale up our transactions this year,” said Ian Brown, head of banking & investments at UKIB.

Prior to joining the bank, Sidhu spent almost 18 years at UK Export Finance. She joins Steve Lomas, Colin Hudson and Adrian Peacock as part of the senior banking & investments team at UKIB.

Last year, Partnerships Bulletin interviewed Ian Brown for an episode of the 3Ps in a pod podcast. To hear his plans for the bank, listen here.
